Your a big girl now

So this week I shot for Jeans and Shoes.
I was plumb out of ideas, probably due to the fact that I'm going crazy mentally. I can't decide the right direction to go after I graduate in October - and needless to say it's freaking me out. So as much as I tried to not let my head get in the way of what needs to be done, it sort of did. This is the result. Not your 'typical' advertisements... but I never was very good at those.

Wish Right Now

I photographed Miss Danielle Sepanik, who is absolutely wonderful.
It was for a "Catalog" assignment, where we chose our favorite catalog (mine was Anthropologie) and try to emulate the style. Although I haven't seen too many direct sun as
the main light in many of their catalogs, I have seen a few. So I chose to light it with the sun in the front of her, and the sun behind her. I think they came out completely different - but I am pleased with both!

Be Calm

Here are some pictures I found while searching for Editorial inspiration.
I wish I could tell you who these were by, I feel bad not being able to give credit.
However, Google gave me none of that.
I hope to be this great someday...

Feels like Fall

After asking several people, I realized I wasn't going to find a model in time for Photobooth assignment. So I decided to just step in and play the part! This was in a field near the Mission, and had copious amounts of people and cars rushing by, slowing down to stare at what I was doing. Awkward...

Tights and Butterflies

Today I shot my assignment for "Over the Top".
Looking at them now, I wish they were a bit more outrageous... but I'm pleased with how
most of them turned out. The model is Jessica Gabriella, who is just stunning and was so willing to put tights over her face (which I tried last night, and trust me, it's discombobulating.)

Time to win the lottery...

As I quietly gulp down my financial desperation, I'm trying to keep my thoughts occupied with some inspiring fashion photographers. Although my first Crit didn't go well at all, I'm determined to make my shoots on Sunday and Monday something that will make everyone look twice.

This is from one of my favorite Fashion Photographers right now - Andy Eaton.
(the model happens to be my good friend Andrew Shimomura, from high school)

And this amazing picture is from Solve Sundsbo.
Totally in love.

True Life: My fiancé abuses my good looks...

My first assignment in Fashion is done!
Nothing too creative or hard - but i'm pretty pleased with the way they came out.
It's supposed to be like a Model Comp card - I obviously used my favorite model,
Mr. Brooks Hazen. :)

Headshot - in the studio - one light.

And a variety of shots showing angles and emotions.

Delicate Details

I have had lots of good time lately to plan the smaller details of my wedding out.
The next two months in Fashion class are going to be overwhelming and keep me occupied both day and night - which means less time on marriage stuff. Here are some pictures of what I have so far...

My reception sweater to keep me warm! It's from Anthropologie.

My totally awesome shoes from Lovely People that my best friend Britnei picked for me.

Hairpiece my friend Ginger found on Etsy - definitely has the natural rustic vibe to it I love.

And this is where it's all happening! Chairs on the lawn facing the water tower - what could be more dramatic?

I have more pictures I will post soon.
But for now, I must go out and enjoy the last day of freedom.
